About AT&T Park Seating Chart 2017

AT&T Park is San Francisco Giants’ home ballpark since 2000. It is located in South Beach, San Francisco, California. It was previously named as Pacific Bell Park, then later to SBC Park in 2003; however, due to the merger between SBC and AT&T, the stadium was officially named AT&T Park on February 2006.

The San Francisco voters approved its construction in 1996 and groundbreaking for this construction project started on December 11, 1997 at the China Basin area in the promising neighborhoods of Mission Bay and South Beach. The $350 million AT&T Park was designed to replace Candlestick Park, Giant’s previous home field.

For days when the Giants don’t have scheduled games, Giants Enterprises, a wholly-owned subsidiary of San Francisco Giants hosts non-baseball events and activities in AT&T Park. In 2011, it hosted its first high school football championship game between Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory and St. Ignatius College Preparatory. In 2006, it was also the venue for ICER AIR, the first stadium air ski and snowboard completion held in the US. During the 10th season of the American Idol in the summer of 2010, the ballpark also hosted an audition stop for America’s hopeful singers.

Designs and Features

Settled in the China Basin region, at the edge of downtown San Francisco, fans can take in the spectacular brick and steel structure of the ballpark, as well as the Bay Area. A statue of Willie Mays, one of the legendary baseball players of all time greets the main entrance gate.

Included in the external design of this stadium are the King Street clock towers. These 122-ft. clock towers showcases a pyramid-shaped roofs capped by a 45-ft. flagpole. The triple level grandstand includes 41,600 green seats that extend from both the foul poles behind the home plate. Seats are only available at the back of the left field fence since the right field wall shows the McCovey Cove, which forms part of the San Francisco Bay. Fans without tickets may also watch the game inside the AT&T Park through a screened right field fence. Behind the center field fence is the chief 103 ft-wide HD video scoreboard. The Giants have installed a 122 802.11b wireless internet hot sports in 2004 that covers the entire seating areas and concourses. The Giant’s Wall of Fame was launched on the King Street side of the stadium on Sept. 23, 2008 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Giant’s transfer to San Francisco and their legendary players in history.
